The soles of my hiking boots are worn out. Why is this not covered by the guarantee?

Soles wear out with use, this is not a manufacturing or material defect, but normal wear and tear. Just like the tyres of your car wear out, for example. That is why we always recommend to buy the right type of shoe (and thus, the right sole) for the right purpose. For example, softer soles will be more pleasant to walk on in the woods, but will wear down faster if used frequently on asphalt.[JD1]

Are the soles of your favourite hiking shoes worn down but are they otherwise still perfect? Our in-house A.S.Adventure shoe workshop can fix that for you! If your shoe is still in good condition (e.g. the leather has been well maintained), there is still a lot we can do. From patching up loose seams to a complete re-soling!
